Arctic Monkeys lead the nominations for the 2009 Q Awards

Arctic Monkeys have received the most nomination for the 2009 Q Awards with four mentions. They are up for best track, best album, best band in the world today and best live act.

The Sheffield band will compete with Kings of Leon, Oasis, Coldplay for the Best Act in the World Today, along with Muse, who are also up for Best Track for their new single Uprising.

One of the most prestigious events on the music calendar, the Q Awards 2009 will take place at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London on Monday 26th October.

Other acts that will battle it out for a gong on the night include, Dizzee Rascal La Roux, Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires and Pixie Lott.
